  • Be the change you wish to see.

Tito promoting positive change in the world by being the change he wishes to see. That car had it coming anyways.

  • The communist Corner

Gary Masalam is the only human member of the Voltz communist Corner. Brodon (dog) and Rejinold (squirrel) are considered members but do not have voting privileges. The noir drawing shows the interior in detail and Gary is having an ephinony.

The furnishings in the corner are bleak. A large empty wire spool for a table and a single lightbulb hanging by a wire. The corner has a record player and very few records. The only confirmed record (7″) is Down on the Corner by Creedence Clearwater Revival. This song is the unofficial anthem of ‘da Corner’.

The blue line drawing is the first drawing of the communist Corner. Or “da Corner” for short. This drawing predates Voltz and Gary as we now know him. It was only natural for Gary to reside there and a shoe in for Voltz lore. This drawing could also be considered a pre Disco Boys reference with the ‘Disco Hole’.

  • W.Y.S.I.W.Y.G. – The Band

W.Y.S.I.W.Y.G. (or WYSIWYG). is a Punk/Ska band in voltz. They follow a classic look of always wearing white suits. They destroy their instruments every show. The drawing on the left, shows Gary Masalam trying to pass a note to a guitarist. The band appears in the First Voltz Drawing and the Second Voltz Drawing.

  • Grayscale Gary Masalam

This complete but damaged work was a voltz inspired way to show the scale of gray from white to black. This project showed the progression of Gary Masalam getting punched in the gut, curling up and then dying. It is museum board (gauche painted) on gator board (spray paint painted).

The sketch on the right contains initial concepts for Gary’s poses.

  • The Ubangians

This is the first draft of the Ubangians. These drawings are based out of photocopied busywork from high school English class. The crappier the photocopy the wilder the character.

The Ubangians are an oppressed group who no longer have a homeland. They petition for new members to join their cause but are considered a benign nuisance. They hold rallies, ride subways and have small parades throughout the East Seid.

  • The Evil Warlord of Ubangie

    the evil warlord of ubangie

This is the concept drawing of the Evil Warlord of Ubangie drawn on a grocery bag book cover. While Ubangian, he thinks it is stupid and is over the cringe that his compatriots are. He is commonly seen in the company of Big Brother and riding in an Aerostar owned by the aforementioned.

His red scar represents the scar Gilbert Smudge received while trying to make the ubangulator.

He is quotes as saying “You will now give me the ubangulator or you will die.”

  • Morty the rental cop

The first draft (white background) and finished design (newsprint background) of Morty the rental cop. Morty is a M.V.C. (most valuable customer) at Ralphz Donutz.

  • Official State Vehicle of Ubangie

This is a early drawing of the official state vehicle of the Ubangians. Its one of those 1940’s sedans with the wooden sides. That’s the Ruler O Ubangie in the bacground.

  • Quito: Party Store Owner

This is the first sketch of Quito, as a party store owner. Later on in the lore he owns a large gas station as seen here. He is always seen wearing Cross Colours and drives the largest boat in all of Voltz.

  • Gary Masalam Noir Comic Panel

The precursor to Dark Gary. This is a rough noir comic book panel of Gary Masalam offing someone and jumping out a window.
