Things in the East

  • Eastseid Battle Bus

This noir image shows Tito on the upper deck of an Eastseid Battle bus. What battle? Don’t know. Where battle? There, Battle! Whose bus is it? Definitely Tito’s. Who they battling? The west. Sources indicate this incursion is an westside blockade in the East. Perhaps at or near some of the disputed territorial claims. Trash Can Man did survive this incident. A finished version can be seen here and there.

  • Tito Subway Storyboard

This noir storyboard shows, in several interations, Tito emerging from the subway while ‘lookin for somebody’. Gary can be seen in the lower left corner cowering in fear. Unsure who that clown in the upper left us. A polished version of this design can be seen here.

  • Gary driving by

Gary Masalam drives his low rider by Moe’s and hits Trash Can Man. He misidentifies the incident as a anti-communist blockade and the finishes his exclamation with “down wit chu all!”. That’s ‘down with you all’ for those keeping score at home.

  • Be the change you wish to see.

Tito promoting positive change in the world by being the change he wishes to see. That car had it coming anyways.

  • View from the Imperialtron Club

Tito views Commercial Row from atop the Imperialtron Club in the East. This is one of the few drawings depicting the west in any detail. A finished version can be seen here.

  • Voltz Noir: The Rebirth

This bush and ink drawing shows a fight breaking out of the front window of a pawn shop. A stumpy Tito, with ammo can in hand warns the viewer “Here we strap up!” This drawing was the kickoff project that restarted Voltz as we know it. A tidied version of this artwork is available here.

  • Voltz Life Digital Mural

This project predates this website by seventeen years. Sketch and finished product of the Voltz Life mural. It is sad that the finished version became more PG with Gary driving a car versus being hit by Tito’s car.

  • The Voltz Comic (1998)

This is the first Voltz comic. In 21 Panels, Gary has an interaction with Ike, with whom he is well pleased and an altercation with Voltz’s lone rental cop Morty. Gary wrecks the driver’s side door of the 1983 Voltzwagon Rabbit security guard car in the process.

  • Greyscale Diner (EAT)

A corner diner, a land yacht and a vacant storefront. Welcome home.

  • Short Flash Animation

Project 3.1- a Flash animation. In this short audio free animation we see Gary Masalam have a freak out (in purple shoes) that “They Ate Rejinold…” Rejinold is a communist squirrel who lives at ‘da Corner’ (vernacular for The communist Corner) with Gary.
